Usually when you mention Pinterest to people, along with the power of it to promote their product or service, you'll find them saying.
"I thought Pinterest was for weddings and recipes?"
While those are really big topics on Pinterest, the fact of the matter is that people make post “pins” with just about everything that they can.
Take for instance out student Tom A.
Tom never knew the power of Pinterest, but he watched this presentation and was inspired to make his first pin to promote a business where he sells highly trained protection dogs.
He did it as a lark, and named his Pin "21 Reasons Why a Protection Dog Is Better Than a Man", posted it up on his Pinterest board, and promptly forgot about it.
Well humor and animals are also huge topics on Pinterest and it turns out his pin picked up some serious traction.
In fact, without doing any other marketing, he sold 2 of his protection dogs at $20,000 each.
That's $40,000 in sales from just one simple pin that he did in less than an hour.
By the way, there was nothing particularly special about his pin.
In fact, I'd say the design was about at the same level as that of an overachieving 6th grader.
Which is actually the perfect design level for fun, easy to read and ultimately successful Pinterest pins.
You’ll be shown what these pins look like and how easy it is to create them using free software that's fun and easy to use.
To Your Success!
