Now that we're well into 2021 I wanted to take this opportunity to give you what I believe are the best marketing opportunities for the rest of the year.
A lot has changed already this year.
People are online more than ever…
They’re shopping, educating themselves, looking for income alternatives, and just generally spending more time online.
As marketers, our job is always to find where the attention is, and how we can segment that traffic on to our offers for the best possible price.
Not to mention, we’re always seeking the best quality traffic…
Millions of eyeballs will do us no good if they’re not relevant to your offer.
So what are my picks for the BEST traffic channels in 2021 for any offers you’re promoting this year?
Here they are!
1 Tik Tok
I simply have to include this on the list because Tik Tok is currently the reigning champ of getting your videos seen.
For examples of how people in our space are doing it I recommend searching the hashtags #makemonyeonline and #affiliatemarketing (or the hashtags related to your offers) to see what type of videos are getting the most views and engagement.
The beauty of Tik Tok is that the app is designed for videos that are shot on the fly and tons of editing features within the app to make it attractive.
If you’re a budding YouTuber but are intimidated by uploading, this is the perfect place for you to start and help grow your other channels.
2 YouTube
Yes, YouTube is still a great place to generate traffic. And while most people think they’re too late in the game to start a YouTube Channel, launching yours in 2021 may actually be better than when the first platform first appeared.
The reason for this is because the way that people consume content on YouTube has changed.
Traditionally, people would search for content (like Google) and then watch whatever had the most views…
But now, people are more likely to watch whatever YouTube recommends to them at the time, making it closer to a social-algorithm platform VS search.
My tips for YouTube are first and foremost to not overthink it. Many of the best tutorials are done on free apps like Loom and screen-sharing or even a Powerpoint.
Focus on great thumbnails, high converting headlines, and engaging content that keeps people watching the whole way through.
3 Clubhouse
It’s incredibly easy to create a room in Clubhouse and if you get in now while there aren’t too many people, your group can be seen by tens of thousands within minutes.
I predict that years from now, the Clubhouse algorithm will favour people with many followers or groups that have a lot of people in attendance…
So now is the BEST time to hop on there and start a discussion about anything from Digital Marketing, Affiliate, Health & Fitness, Making Money Online… whatever works for your niche.
Jumping into this app early is like jumping on Facebook Groups when they just got started.
My top tip for this app is don’t think you need to be an expert to host a room. Give other people the stage and share their tips or start a discussion. Being a host (moderator) will naturally give you attention and grow your followers.
This is a great app to move people from your main profile to Instagram where most people direct subscribers to DM them.
4 Email Marketing
Really? Email Marketing is a hot platform for 2021?
YES!
Ok, so maybe email has been around since the dawn of the internet, but similar to YouTube, the way we’ve used Email has changed…
Email used to be a way to connect with your friends and family, share pictures, tell stories…
But after social media took centre stage personal interactions through email started to die, and marketers began to say that email marketing is dead!
Not so fast…
Because as of recently, people have begun to reserve email for just that - business to business relationships with their favourite brands and companies.
That’s why we’ve actually seen an increase in engagement from Email over the past few years.
Because as people have been using email just to be in touch with their favourite brands, we’ve been able to continue doing what we’ve been doing for years and mastering our relationship-building through that platform.
5 LinkedIn
The last on my list for today’s newsletter is LinkedIn.
As I see many leaving one social media platform for another, the one platform people tend to keep is LinkedIn because of how central it’s become to building a resume, finding jobs, and researching potential employees.
As a result, LinkedIn users have relied more heavily on the LinkedIn newsfeed and messenger platform than other channels.
If you’re not on LinkedIn, this is a great time to begin building your profile, and reaching out to other entrepreneurs or people in your space.
Additionally, from what I’ve seen, organic reach on the “blog-style” posts have been higher in the past year than ever. So if you’ve considered blogging but don’t want to build a website yet, consider posting articles on LinkedIn!
Alright, well those are the Top 5 strategies.
I hope you find one or two that speak to you and go all-in this year making this THE year your business explodes with traffic and sales.
To Your Success!
Steve.
