Use the $1.80 Strategy to Grow on Instagram

Today I thought I’d take a different route and teach a strategy I’ve been applying to grow on Instagram…

And despite the name, you’re not actually spending $1.80, or anything at all.

First, why grow on Instagram and what does that have to do with you?

Instagram is a great platform because you can build a profile around however you’d like to distribute content…

Memes, pictures of you and your family (lifestyle pics), infographics, or even attractive quotes. 

And with free tools like Canva you can create beautiful images easily.

But the real secret is right at the top of your Instagram Bio is a place to provide a link to whatever you’re selling, whether it’s your own product or an affiliate.

You then simply apply the $1.80 strategy and give as much value as possible, and people will naturally find your profile, click on the link, and make a purchase.

So what is the $1.80 strategy?

It was invented by the legendary entrepreneur Gary Vaynerchuk.

Gary says that you don’t need to invest money to grow your IG, you just need to give your 2 cents. 

Here’s how it works…

Find the best hashtags for your niche. Whether that’s #makemoneyonline #retireearly #affiliatemarketing… wherever you find accounts and content that resonate with yours…

Select 10 of these hashtags, then leave 9 comments under the top performing posts…

These can be directly under the posts or they can be answering questions that other people are asking. 

The truth is, when you’re commenting under a large account they’re not going to see or be able to respond to everyone’s post or questions…

Leaving something encouraging under someone else’s posts or even answering a question they might have about making money online or affiliate marketing is the fastest way to get your Instagram account noticed.

And the more people notice, the more they follow, and the more will naturally click on the link in your bio to see what you’re offering. 

So there you have it. 

Try this strategy out this week and watch your engagement go through the roof. The more you practice, the better you’ll get.
