Everybody has been in a traffic jam.
Nobody likes it. It’s like your life is on hold and there’s nothing you can do about it. Doesn’t matter if you’re in a rush or not, who’s waiting for you at the other end of your journey, or how you feel about it. Nothing you can do about it but just sit and inch forward.
Worst part is there’s usually no easy way out.
It’s often the smallest of things which cause traffic jams. A small incident on the road is enough to bring several miles worth of traffic to a halt.
It’s a lot like your business.
If there’s no problems with any of the little things that need to happen right, everything hums along smoothly. One little thing goes wrong… and boom, all of a sudden you’re backlogged to the moon.
Now, of all the tasks you’re doing in your day, there’s probably
one that’s crucial to the survival of your business.
One that you can’t afford to bring to a standstill.
For one business… that one task might be sending the daily email which keeps the revenue flowing.
For another business… that one task might be running the ads which are bringing in the leads.
For yet another business, that one task might be making the sales calls which bring in the money.
But at the end of the day, each of these tasks has one thing in common.
If they stop happening, there’s no income.
Without income, the business cannot operate.
You’d be surprised just how many businesses failed because the owner lost track of what was really important, resulting in them leaving their business in a catastrophic disaster where everything is stuck.
This right here is why…
You as the business owner should focus on doing what is needed to bring in the money.
The problem now is… as you grow and start wearing more hats in your company… you’re going to find less and less time to do the work which rakes in the moolah.
This is where you’re going to have to decide what you outsource or offload to someone else.
Think of it like this: Is all the work you’re doing helping you make money? Or is it taking time from the one task you should be doing to make money?
Because as the work piles on your shoulders… it’s only a matter of time before your business’ traffic lanes are jammed, and you can’t move forward.
To Your Success!
