3 Reasons You'll want to get Traffic from Pinterest

There are so many reasons to love Pinterest if you’re selling online (or want to).

Let me demonstrate what I mean.

Have you ever made a grocery shopping list?

Of course you have. Now, when you make a list, how many of those items did you actually buy?

If you're like me, you probably get every item listed - and a few impulse purchases from the candy aisle ;-)

A shopping list signals one thing, which is also the biggest reason you'll want to get traffic from Pinterest.

1. Intent To Buy

48% of Pinterest users log on because they want to buy something.

There is no other social network that comes close to being full of people who are ready to buy.

The closest competitor is Facebook at 14%.

That means that Pinterest has 3X the buyers of its closest competitor.

Oh, by the way, Pinterest users’ average order value is $50, by far the highest amount for any social network.

Trust me, your online success becomes so much easier when your products get in front of people who go in with the mindset of "I'm ready to buy the thing that will help me accomplish the goal or solve my problem".

That’s one of the main reasons you’ll want to watch this webinar… you’ll see how easy it is to tap into buyers’ intent in a VERY beginner-friendly way:

Watch Here

2. Pinterest Users Have Money

49% of the users on Pinterest earn more than $100,000 a year.

Buying intent matters not - if the people on the platform don’t have the money to make the purchase… but that’s not the case on Pinterest.

Importantly, many are looking to buy AND have the money to make it happen.

3. 80% Of All Pins Are Repins

On every other social network, people are vying to post the best content and hope that it gets shared.

Pinterest flips this on its head as, instead of trying to create the best content and posts, the majority of Pinterest users concentrate on sharing to their boards the best content that already exists on the platform - and that content can be created by YOU!

What this has led to is that, while a post on Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn may be popular for a day or two… a Pinterest pin can be reposted for years.

In fact, our presenters have several pins that were created 6 and 7 years ago and that still get shared on Pinterest and continue to send traffic to their website to this day.

The good news is that you don’t need great design skills to make these pins.

In fact, our presenter's preferred way to create pins is to use Microsoft Word, and his pins have been repinned millions of times and driven hundreds of thousands of free visitors to his site.

They shared what these pins look like, the software they used to create them and how to upload your pins the right way to Pinterest, so you can start generating free targeted traffic to your website by the end of the webinar.

Weddings, Recipes, Protection Dogs?

Usually when you mention Pinterest to people, along with the power of it to promote their product or service, you'll find them saying.

"I thought Pinterest was for weddings and recipes?"

While those are really big topics on Pinterest, the fact of the matter is that people make post “pins” with just about everything that they can.

Take for instance out student Tom A.

Tom never knew the power of Pinterest, but he watched this presentation and was inspired to make his first pin to promote a business where he sells highly trained protection dogs.

He did it as a lark, and named his Pin "21 Reasons Why a Protection Dog Is Better Than a Man", posted it up on his Pinterest board, and promptly forgot about it.

Well humor and animals are also huge topics on Pinterest and it turns out his pin picked up some serious traction.

In fact, without doing any other marketing, he sold 2 of his protection dogs at $20,000 each.

That's $40,000 in sales from just one simple pin that he did in less than an hour.

By the way, there was nothing particularly special about his pin.

In fact, I'd say the design was about at the same level as that of an overachieving 6th grader.

Which is actually the perfect design level for fun, easy to read and ultimately successful Pinterest pins.

You’ll be shown what these pins look like and how easy it is to create them using free software that's fun and easy to use.

Want Happy Buyers who Share your Work?

Have you seen the replay yet for...

How We Drove 168K+ Targeted  Buyers To Our Website With Pinterest

Context matters when selling online.

For instance, Pinterest, on average, is full of people who are trying to achieve something and are on Pinterest to get help doing this.

That means that people on Pinterest are willing to take responsibility for something they're trying to accomplish.

Almost half of all Pinterest users are going on there to either buy something, or to research the thing they're planning on buying.

Pinterest is also really good at sending traffic to our websites, because they work hard to facilitate the end users’ happiness.

Also, did you know that the majority of Pinterest users earn over $75,000 a year?

Oh, by the way, 91% of Pinterest users say that it's a positive place, where they enjoy spending time.

Bottom line.

Pinterest is a social network where happy people with disposable income go to spend money, and they are easily reachable.

YouTube?

YouTube is actually pretty great as well, the only problem is it's more expensive, time-intensive and tech-intensive to produce content.

They do make it a little bit harder to leave the YouTube platform in comparison to Pinterest.

If you're already an advanced marketer and have all the equipment and feel comfortable on camera then I'd say YouTube is worth your time.

Oh and here's a fun fact, once you're ready to put videos on YouTube, be sure and put them on Pinterest too, because video is becoming very popular on Pinterest as well.

Bottom line....

YouTube is full of DIY people, but requires more money, tech and presentation skills to stand a better chance at being successful.

Something to concentrate on once you've had success on Pinterest.

Facebook?

It's the biggest social network in the world, so I can't not mention it but...

It's also becoming known as a fairly negative place, where people log on and are ready to debate and argue with other people for no good reason, it seems.

Great if you can make it work, but be ready with a thick skin and to constantly monitor your posts, because people love to bash posts for the sport of it.

Also Facebook hates to send traffic away, so they limit how many people can see your posts - even those people who are on your friends list.

Bottom line...

Facebook can mean big traffic if you pay to play and have a thick skin.

Fact is, I believe when it comes to Pinterest that it's really the best and easiest place to get traffic to a great service or product, and Pinterest is also happy to send traffic your way as well.

Want to see how easy it is to get traffic from, and post pins to, Pinterest?
