Even if you’re not into fitness, this analogy hits hard.
It’s being said that if you stop weight training, nothing happens for a week. In fact, sometimes it’s good to take a week off, so your body gets some rest and you can go back to training hard again.
Then, if you continue to skip exercise, at about the week-two mark, your central nervous system starts “forgetting” - it starts sending weaker and slower signals to the muscles.
Finally, at around the 3-6-week mark, you’ll start to lose muscle mass.
What does this have to do with you?
My observation is that it’s about the same with building an online business. Skip a week, and nothing bad happens. Most of the time, you’ll probably be better off.
Two weeks, and things start to slowly degrade. More… and slowly your business loses momentum.
It doesn’t matter why you had to take off time from building your business. Family emergency, work stuff, whatever… the world doesn’t care.
I know it sounds harsh… but you need to know that.
Here’s the important question, though.
How do you build a business that is proofed against situations like that?
Where, even if you need to take some time off, things continue to happen, the business grows and makes money?
