What are You Really Selling? And Why it Matters...

Can you answer this question?

Think about it. Let’s pretend you have one shot to sell any program you’re promoting.

Sure, if you’re growing your email list you’ll actually have MANY opportunities to sell programs to them..

But why not focus on making every interaction count, right?

So back to my original question…

What are you REALLY selling?

Too often when we write headlines, send out emails, or record YouTube videos we get tied up in the nuts and bolts of a program…

We tell them how many video modules are inside, if there’s a private Facebook Group, what bonuses they’ll get when they sign up…

But at the end of the day, people don’t care about the nuts and bolts.

They care about something deeper.

Focusing on the nuts and bolts is like encountering a Ferrari Dealer who drones on endlessly about the car’s windshield wipers or rear view mirror…

I shouldn’t have to say this but people don’t buy Ferraris for their windshield wipers! ;)

They buy them for the status, prestige… and speed.

Selling a course or program is the same way.

When you’re selling any program, think about what the course’s features REALLY mean for your customers.

Sure, the course may have 30+ modules…

But what they’re REALLY getting is a Step-By-Step program that guides them each step of the way - in detail.

Sure, the program may come with a Private Facebook Group…

But what they’re REALLY getting is a tight-knit community of like-minded entrepreneurs ready to help each other succeed!

Sure, the program may have an opportunity to promote other programs.

But what they’re REALLY getting is a Full-Stack system that builds multiple streams of income by selling one product!

Get the idea?

And that’s just the start…

You can always look at your benefits and continue asking, “Well, what am I REALLY selling?”

The best marketers continue to ask this question to better speak to their audience.

But I’ll warn you - to truly make this an effective technique, you MUST get to know who your audience is and what they care about.

More on that in another issue.

For today, my challenge for you is to think through what you’re REALLY selling and base your marketing and messaging on what YOU come up with.

All the Best!

To Your Success!
