It may seem counterintuitive to promote other programs when you’re trying to make more sales with your own product.
But believe it or not, promoting the TOOLS people need to make money online may be your ticket to selling the TRAINING.
This is especially helpful if you have an Email List of folks who have already heard you talk about your product for a few weeks now and still haven’t purchased.
It’s time to switch up your messaging and maybe even your offer.
Let me give an illustration of how promoting the tools over the training can be helpful.
I remember trying to decide if I wanted to take a philosophy course in college that all my friends seemed to love.
I was overbooked already and wasn’t sure it would be worth it.
So over the summer I ordered the textbook to get a feel for what it would be like.
I couldn’t get enough. I loved the content, I loved the material, and I was eager to have a guided approach from the professor while in class next semester.
In other words, I was SOLD on the class, not from the professor or the course calendar, but from the textbook, or TOOL that I’d be using in the class.
The same is true online…
Many people are hesitant about purchasing a program where they can make money online.
They’re sceptical, not sure what their friends will think, and maybe nervous about jumping in and committing themselves to the training.
That’s totally understandable.
But they may feel more comfortable testing out the TOOLS they need to start an online business.
Tools like Autoresponders, Funnel Software, Redirect Software...
Many of these tools come with Free Trials and are free to be an affiliate.
And once they begin to explore these tools, reading up on how much money they can earn, learning some of the big-picture strategies of making money online…
They’ll be SOLD on the fact that they want more training.
I know this was the case for me with Clickfunnels for example. Initially, I resisted purchasing any courses or programs to help me with Clickfunnels. I simply wanted to get a subscription and play around with it to see if I liked it.
Well, I did. And I soon found myself gobbling all of their training, cheatsheets, courses, and templates.
OK, so if I’ve convinced you by now to begin sending your subscribers emails that promote the awesome tools they need to start an online business…
The question becomes, what’s the best way to do this?
Well, one of the best ways is to record YouTube Videos which review the tools.
Explain how the products work and how they can be embedded into anyone's business.
Highlight their Affiliate Program also which of course is an added bonus to using the tools themselves.
Hard to deny those great benefits.
But the next step is super important. At the end of your video, invite people to buy the software, and show them how you will HELP them promote it themselves once they join YOUR program.
WIN - WIN.
You’ve got a video that not only sells people on a great software tool, but it plants the seeds for your own program for when they eventually might want further training.
Ok, now this next step is important.
I highly recommend putting these videos on your own funnel page.
While it’s great (and super easy) to send them right to YouTube, I would much rather see you embed the video on your OWN sales page so you have TOTAL control over where they click after they watch the video.
To Your Success!
