Is every opportunity worth taking?
When you’re on as many online marketing lists as I am… you know what, scratch that.
Even if you’re on one marketing list… you have no shortage of opportunities to take.
Some marketers present every opportunity to you as the ultimate opportunity. The one that you must take. Now. Or the world is going to end, and you’ll never achieve anything.
It makes me laugh. I mean I get why they’re doing it - conviction sells. But I also believe there’s nuance.
Is every opportunity the right one for you?
Probably NOT! You see, these offers more often than not go out to hundreds, thousands, tens of thousands of people. Chances are that they are NOT going to make sense for every single person.
So you have other marketers who approach this a little bit differently. Softer. They will tell you things like “only you can be the judge of whether this opportunity makes sense for you”, or things like that.
(Yet at the same time, they will smartly provide you ammunition to strike down every possible objection - because they, too, want you to take action.)
Which approach is better for you?
If I was forced to choose between these two, it’s probably the second… but then again, I don’t really believe in that, either.
Here’s the truth.
Not too long ago, it was one of the many rules of internet marketing - that you had to choose an approach.
This rule - and almost every other rule, too…
are out of the window now.
For example, if you want to succeed in 2021, neither of the approaches above is right.
About the only thing that works in the long term is providing true value first.
What’s true value in the context of an affiliate promotion?
Unwavering commitment and belief in what you’re promoting.
Things that can only come from having seen and used the product you’re selling.
Very few marketers are able to pull this off.
Some are just lazy, but that’s the minority.
The biggest problem is most honest, hard working marketers who are just starting out can’t afford to buy access to $5,000 courses to review them before selling to make sure they’re good.
However, if you’re not able to do that, what chance do you have to succeed in 2021, with all the new rules in place?
Pretty much none.
