If you’re active on Tik Tok you may have heard that Network Marketing and MLMs in general are banned from the platform…
Not just in ads, but even if you’re trying to create videos for organic reach and growing your downline, Tik Tok is not interested in allowing you space on the platform.
That means, even if you’re promoting great products like essential oils or pampered chef products and you’re trying to share them with the world, you’ll still be faced with a big NO from the fastest growing app in the world.
Now you might be thinking: “Well, the products I promote aren’t MLM so what does that have to do with me?”
Well, this type of news is important for anyone promoting products that helps someone grow their business or increase their wealth online.
With a single decision from a social media platform your entire business model could be shut down instantly.
And a few have even asked if this will ultimately come down on affiliate marketing as well.
I remember when Facebook no longer allowed direct affiliate links in their ads, and even began disapproving ads that link directly to amazon.
It caused quite a shake up from the affiliate marketing world and forced many to change their tactics.
So why am I telling you this?
Is it to scare you or convince you to go to one platform over the other?
Not at all!
In fact, I DON’T believe affiliate marketing will ever be banned from Social Media - however, the WAY we do it is important to make sure you’ll never lose an opportunity to grow your business.
And what I want to share with you is a method that will guarantee you can stay on any media channel, at any time, no matter what changes the social media CEOs might make…
Ready for it?
Here’s how you stay SAFE on all social media platforms:
Focus on Growing Your BRAND & EMAIL LIST, Not Just Generating Quick Sales
I know, we’re all in this to build a business and earn additional revenue online, so it may be tempting to always go for the quick sale…
But if you focus on growing your email list, and building a following based on your brand and what you can teach people, you can always promote your products down the road and you’ll stay 100% compliant no matter what.
So if you’re promoting Digital Marketing offers, instead of jumping on social media and pushing your affiliate links to the sales page, build a brand around Digital Marketing Strategies or Ways to Make Money Online…
Then as you’re building your email list, you can promote those offers as much as you’d like.
If you’re promoting Pampered Chef (just an example off the top of my head), focus on creating content around cooking and making great recipes…
Then offer an eBook of some of your favourite recipes in exchange for their email -
THEN you can promote whatever you’d like over email.
Starting to see the theme here?
If you’re always focused on providing value and building an email list based on your brand and what you’re able to share with the world, you’ll stay safe and compliant on every platform…
Once your followers are on your email list, THEN you’ll be able to promote any offers you’d like to them whether it’s affiliate, make money online, MLM, health & fitness, or any of the products that sometimes get flagged on social media.
So the message for today is, if you want to stay safe from algorithm updates and iron-cladding your online business - make sure you’re promoting your brand, your content, your value FIRST, then build your email list and promote the actual products you’re selling there.
You’ll find the QUALITY of your subscribers are much higher this way as well, and you’ll truly be building a business online!
To Your Success!
