I know it seems like every day there is a new social media app.
And while we’re always on the lookout for the fastest rising and highest quality apps on the market, the truth is, it’s rare that a new app comes along and takes the world by storm.
In the past year or so, that app was Tik Tok, and it’s not slowing down anytime soon.
“Tik Tok? Really? Isn’t that the app for lip-sync battles and dance moves?”
I know, that’s what I thought too...because for a while, that’s exactly what was featured.
But like Facebook, Instagram, and Snapchat, as the initial hype of an app begins to spread into various niches, genres, and verticals, more and more content creators hop on board.
In fact, if you were to look at my personal Tik Tok feed right now, you likely wouldn’t find a single dance craze or hot new song…
Instead, you’ll likely find cooking recipes, music tutorials and digital marketing tips and tricks!
Think of it like YouTube but in only 60 second increments.
There is so much great content on Tik Tok right now and it’s only growing. If your goal is to get FREE TRAFFIC to your email list and offers, I honestly believe Tik Tok is one of the BEST opportunities on the market right now.
If you’ve ever considered hopping on the app but felt you were too late to the party, let me offer a few reasons why I think right now is the PERFECT time to start getting traffic on Tik Tok.
1) The app has had some time to grow.
Now people of all ages and interests are on the platform versus two years ago when the demographic was mostly teenagers. In fact, I think now is a BETTER time to begin uploading on the app rather than if you had hopped on early.
2) Tik Tok videos can be edited within the app.
So they don’t require all of the high-production or special effects you may see on YouTube videos that can be quite intimidating.
3) Tik Tok limits the videos to 60 seconds.
If you’re struggling to come up with 10 minute content pieces, Tik Tok is a great place to get your feet wet sharing quick tips and tricks.
4) This app boasts one of the easiest places to get free traffic and eyeballs on your videos in 2021.
Unlike Instagram or Facebook posts which will rarely be seen unless you have followers, Tik Tok forces your videos to a small group of people to test the waters which means you’ll ALWAYS get views while the app is just getting started.
5) You can link your Instagram Profile, YouTube Channel AND link to your affiliate offers in your bio.
So if you’re already running other social media channels, this is a great way to generate traffic to those channels (and your offer).
In the weeks to come I’ll continue to upload some important tips and tricks that I’m personally seeing to be frequently seen on the app but I wanted to take some time to share these strategies with you today as my hope is to provide ample resources on generating free traffic to grow your email list to help you sell whatever you may be promoting!
