Not everyone is at the same stage of their online business journey.
Some are earning their first commissions ever…
Some may be taking their business to 5 figures per month...
Some may be increasing their average order value with upsells…
So how can YOU, in every single one of these scenarios I mentioned above, increase your commissions?
Answer: By Mentoring your Buyers
Here’s the deal, not everyone who joins new program is a Digital Marketing expert…
But ANYONE that’s gone through that program already can be a mentor to someone just getting started.
In fact, if you were a complete beginner, you may be a BETTER mentor than someone who’s an expert.
How?
Think of it like climbing a mountain.
Someone at the top of a mountain has a harder time communicating which way to go than someone three steps ahead of you.
If you’re just getting started, the information you’re passing on is fresh, up-to-date, and relevant to someone who’s also beginning their journey.
So don’t shy away from it. You. Are. A. Mentor.
Believing this to be the truth is often the first barrier or limiting belief we have about ourselves that we need to overcome.
And as a mentor, you can help your students get to the next level.
What level is that?
I’m talking about the level where they begin purchasing the software tools they need to progress up the online mountain.
As your students begin to purchase the tools they need, you’ll continue to multiply your commissions - some monthly!
Ok, so once you’ve committed yourself to being a mentor, and you know how being a mentor will help multiply your commissions by helping others continue on their journey…
The next question I always ask is, “How do I become a mentor to my students?”
I’ll show you how right here, and it doesn’t get much more simple than this.
Email them.
When someone buys a program from you, find their email, reach out to them and say, “Hey, welcome to the family! My name is _____ and I’m your official mentor for the _____ program. I want you to feel comfortable using this email to reach out to me with any questions you might have. In fact, I’d love to learn a little bit about you and why you decided to join the program. If you have a moment, hit “reply” and tell me about yourself. I read and respond to every email.”
Boom. Simple as that.
Imagine if you were on the receiving end of an email like that - you’d be pretty excited to have your own personal mentor, right?
Another way to use this mentor strategy is to let your subscribers know before they purchase the program that you’ll be available as their personal mentor.
I love to do this on the Thank-You page right after they’ve opted in.
The Thank-You page can feature a “mentor” message that will show your potential customers that when they sign up to the program you're promoting, they won’t be alone on their journey…
You’ll be right there to help them every step of the way.
To Your Success!
