There is a simple method to make money online as an Affiliate Marketer that most gurus aren’t talking about.
See, while there are a lot of products and programs you can join as an affiliate, my favourites follow a few rules:
1) They have recurring commissions so you’ll get paid month after month from only selling once.
2) The program has multiple products (low and high ticket) so they can reach a much wider audience.
3) The program would have a dedicated support team that can help answer your customers questions when you’re not available.
Now, products don’t always have ALL three of these factors - but if they do, then you know you’ve got a good product on your hands to promote.
And you know what type of products almost always offer all three of these?
Software.
Yes, Software. For example:
- Funnel Page Builders
- AutoResponders
- Redirection Software
- Traffic Marketplace Sites
These programs frequently come with recurring commissions, low to high-ticket packages, and a dedicated support team for any technical questions.
So if you’re not actively promoting software (no matter what your niche might be), you’re missing out on a way to turn your side-hustle into a long-term, sustainable business.
Here are a few reasons why…
Sell them once - earn commissions for Life
Most affiliate products are one and done. You sell a training or course, collect a commission, then run to find more people to send through the funnel.
The beauty of software, is that you can build recurring income that compounds month in and month out without having to resell packages to the same customers.
Software Support Teams are Generally Awesome
Software companies know they can’t survive without support. Frequently, they’ll offer LIVE 24/7 chat services to help your clients with anything they might need.
This means, you can comfortably add more clients to your roster without the fear of burnout or that you’ll be glued to your computer answering questions.
High Conversion Rates
Software has some of the highest conversion rates in the industry. Frequently, software companies will hire expensive contractors whose sole job is to insure their websites close the sale on their visitors.
What a powerhouse of an opportunity! You’re literally partnering with some of the world’s most successful companies by becoming an affiliate.
OK, so maybe I’ve convinced you….but now you might be thinking, HOW do I go about promoting software?
Think about it like this.
There are always two components to getting your desired results…
- The TRAINING
- The TOOLS
If you’re teaching clients how to lose weight…
The training may be a course with different exercises or workout plans, while the tools are a calorie counter, juicer, vegetable spiralizer, etc.
If you’re teaching clients how to win at the stock market…
The training may be a course on how to read charts, while the tools are the brokerage you’re recommending or a robo-trader.
With many online marketing programs, the training is in modules and maybe live webinars, while the tools are the software used to promote the program.
The two go hand-in-hand.
You can’t have one without the other.
So promoting the software should be a natural “next step” for anyone who’s purchased the program.
Reach out to them and ask them how you can help.
Ask them if they’ve gotten their funnels set up yet.
Let them know they can reach out to you for help on setting up their Email Autoresponder.
Ask them if they’re ready to buy some traffic and want some guidance
Think about how much it would mean for YOU if someone contacted you immediately after you joined a program to see how they could help!
And hey, if email isn’t your thing, see if you can find them on Facebook...or even give them your number to text.
The point is, I want you to see that all of these things go together… you aren’t badgering your customers or subscribers with more products they can buy...rather, you’re guiding them along their journey to success with products that make sense for what they are looking to achieve.
